Maybe I should stop
trying so hard to start
living a life that’s not
mine
Maybe I should be
proud of myself for being
strong instead of still
weak
But a fire that’s mine
is warmer than all the
pretty lights I could ever
find,
So I search for matches
to ignite some other part
of this sky high stack of
sticks.
Unpin me from my wall,
I’ve decided it’s time
to risk my skin on the
net.
